With a star studded new executive board and I feel very happy about the way the future of Rip_Chord is looking. Spencer Clarke has been the music director since before I even became part of the group and no one dared to run against the best music director Rip_Chord has ever had. The only freshman to run was Jason Berk, and he won the position of treasurer. Adam, or "Salonzo" is a current sophomore who sings tenor and has proved himself to be a premiere soloist in the group. Adam Salaymeh will be the next vice president. Rip_Chord's next president will be Wiley Marsteller, a current junior who sings bass for the group and served as treasurer last year. After about three hours of listening to speeches, questions, answers, and deliberation we made our decision for each of the positions. This year we had two candidates for president, three for vice president, three for treasurer, and only one for music director. Elections are held close to the end of the first semester so that the January semester can serve as a transitioning period for an executive board that will serve for the remainder of the calendar year. Each of these positions is responsible for certain parts that are vital in order for the group to function. The positions consist of a president, vice president, treasurer, and music director. The next week after our concert we held elections for positions on next year executive board. With the conclusion of Rip_Chord's fall concert, focuses must shift from our performance to our future as a group.
